We strongly believe  that every dog should be a pet first.    It would be impossible for us to dedicate enough time to too many dogs so we occasionally have the need for a guardian home for our breeding program.

A guardian home consists of us giving you our pick of the litter or a puppy we purchase from another breeder and living with you in a loving home.   We retain the  ownership and breeding rights of the dog until a contract is fulfilled, then we sign over all rights  to the guardian home.    You are responsible for regular veterinary and  grooming care.  We are responsible for all health testing and breeding.  If the guardian dog is a female please realize she will have to stay with us for breeding and whelping puppies so you would be away from her for several weeks (it's a perfect time for a vacation with no boarding fees)!   We only breed our females 3 times so it isn't a never ending  process for you or the dog.  Once we are finished with breeding we help pay for the spay or neuter.

Since we have to have   access to the guardian dog somewhat frequently, you must live within an hour of St. Louis to be  considered.  It's a great way to get a quality dog for little cost and be part of an amazing program!  If you think you would be interested please feel free to contact us.
